Language Student, Covert SmugglerOn Thursday afternoon, Immigration police received a request from Nordic Police to follow Mr. Kamran Amini, 37, from Sweden, who was accused of illegally trading medical products via the internet, estimated to have been worth over 37, million baht over the last two years.
Sweden had issued a warrant for his arrest on 14 May 2010.
Mr. Kamran had entered Thailand illegally. His passport had been cancelled on the 18 June 2010.
Recently, Immigration officers found information showing he had in fact entered Thailand on 13 November 2009 on a language student visa.
The Swede was finally arrested on Soi Jomtien 5, and his visa was invalidated. He is being detained and is awaiting deportation back to Sweden.Källa: Pattaya People
